System Engineer

Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are currently seeking a System Engineer.

Your Role:

• Design, configure, and maintain the client’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualization platforms

• Collaborate with IT architects and project managers to deliver secure and scalable system solutions

• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability

• Lead initiatives to automate repetitive tasks and optimize system deployment processes

• Support backup strategies and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing

• Maintain up-to-date system documentation and provide technical support and guidance to internal teams

Your Profile:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3–6 years of professional experience in a similar position

• Strong expertise in Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and networking concepts

• Hands-on experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a strong asset

• Knowledge of system monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Fluency in French and English is required
