Automation Test Engineer

Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For a client of ours, we are currently looking for an Automation Test Engineer in Zürich.

Your Role:

• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and test cases for web and backend applications

• Collaborating closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle

• You will identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs, and assist in root cause analysis

• Your responsibilities will include creating performance and load testing scripts to ensure scalable and reliable systems

• You will continuously contribute to process improvements in our testing and quality assurance workflows

• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimation

Your Profile:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 3–6 years of experience in test automation

• Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, and agile practices

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java)

• Experience with testing APIs using tools such as Postman or REST-assured

• Fluency in German and English
